Danny takes passion in helping golfers enjoy the game to the fullest through teaching and helping members enhance their experiences while at the club.

PGA Teaching Professional

Taylor comes to us from Lake Shore Country Club in Glencoe, Illinois, just outside of Chicago.  He has been the Teaching Professional there for 3 years and was recently included in Golf Digest’s list of Best Teachers In Every State for Illinois.  Taylor has spent the last 7 winters teaching at the John Webster Academy at the Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida.  Originally from Norfolk, Connecticut, Taylor is a Class A-PGA Professional and graduate of the PGA Golf Management Program at Methodist University.  I am confident he will provide our membership with world-class instruction and a friendly face to all.

Taylor has been acknowledged by Golf Digest as one of the most talented instructors under 40 and was voted in 2022/2023 as a Best Young Teachers in America.

PGA 1st Assistant Golf Professional

Ted Heins will be back for his 6th season at Fresh Meadow Country Club as the 1st Assistant and Lead Professional.  Ted is a PGA Class A Professional and has been around the golf industry since he was in diapers: his father was the longtime Head Golf Professional at Old Oaks Country Club where Ted spent a majority of his formative years.

Ted began his journey in golf shortly after graduating from the University of Florida and was inducted into the PGA of America in 2009. Ted's prowess as an instructor comes from years of experience learning from some of the brightest minds in instruction, and his reputation within the Metropolitan PGA as a consummate professional, as well as friend and mentor to all, is something he is very proud of.

Ted’s excitement for growing the game and teaching the game over the last 6 years, and the many years before Fresh Meadow, has recently paid off as he was recently selected to Golf Digest’s Best Teachers In New York State for 2024/2025.

PGA Assistant Golf Professional

Ben Franjione returns for his 3rd season at Fresh Meadow.  This past winter, Ben spent time down in Florida playing in the PGA Winter Series Events.  He also took time to attend the PGA Merchandise Show where he attended Teaching and Club fitting seminars with the brightest minds in the game.  In between his trips to Florida, he was in his home state of Michigan where he gave lessons and observed other PGA Certified Teaching Professionals.  In 2022, Ben qualified for the Long Island Open, the New York State Open, and the Metropolitan PGA Championship in the MET Section.  Big things are on the horizon for this young star on and off the course.

Class A PGA Professionals Matt Rodriguez

Matt Rodriguez is from Kalamazoo, Michigan and attended Florida Gulf Coast University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Professional Golf Management & Resort and Hospitality Management.  He earned his PGA Class A membership shortly after graduating in 2022.  Matt is joining Fresh Meadow after most recently working at The Old Collier Golf Club in Naples, Florida.  His summers have been spent at Kalamazoo Country Club working as an Assistant Professional and completed internships at Atlantic Golf Club.  He enjoys spending time with his family, days on the lake, and teeing it up with anyone looking for a game.  Matt is looking forward to returning to Long Island and is ecstatic to be a part of the Fresh Meadow team.
