PGA Head Golf Professional

Danny Balin is in his 3rd year as the PGA Head Golf Professional at Fresh Meadow Country Club.  Danny graduated from the Professional Golf Management Program at Penn State University and has been a PGA Class A Golf Professional since 2007.  Danny has worked in the Metropolitan Section his entire career at Sunningdale CC, Burning Tree CC, and Westchester Country Club. 
 
Danny has studied under Top 50 Golf Instructor Michael Breed, renowned Metropolitan Teacher and Player of the Year, Bobby Heins, and Professional of the Year, Ben Hoffhine.
 
Danny played fulltime on PGA Tour Latin America, PGA Tour Canada, and the Web.com Tour for 4 years and was the 2015 Guatemala Stella Artois Open Champion on PGA Tour Latin America.  Danny has been the Metropolitan Section PGA Player of the Year 5 times, has won the New York State Open twice, the MET Open once, and has competed in 7 PGA CHAMPIONSHIPS and the 2020 United States Open.
 
Danny takes passion in helping golfers enjoy the game to the fullest through teaching and helping members enhance their experiences while at the club


PGA Teaching Professional

Tyler is a Class-A PGA Professional from Olive Branch, Mississippi. For 2 years, Tyler played college golf at East Mississippi and later graduated from Mississippi State University in the PGA Professional Golf Management Program. After graduation, Tyler moved to Miami to work as Jim McLean’s personal teaching assistant. Tyler has spent the last 4 seasons as the Teaching Professional at Lake Shore Country Club in Chicago and also spent the last 7 winters working at the Jim McLean Golf School where he is currently a Jim Mclean certified Master Instructor.
Tyler coaches’ golfers of all levels and has studied and learned under 7 of Golf Digest’s 50 Best Teachers in America, 9 of Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Teachers, and 14 of the Best Young Teachers in America.
Tyler has been acknowledged by Golf Digest as one of the most talented instructors under 40 and was voted in 2020/2021 as a Best Young Teachers in America.

PGA 1st Assistant Golf Professional
Ted Heins will be back for his 3rd year at Fresh Meadow Country Club as the 1st Assistant and Lead Professional.  Ted is not shy when it comes to fashion and speaks through his many colorful outfits at the club.
 
Ted is a PGA Class A Professional and has been around the golf industry since he was in diapers: his father was the longtime Head Golf Professional at Old Oaks Country Club where Ted spent a majority of his formative years.
 
Ted began his journey in golf shortly after graduating from the University of Florida and was inducted into the PGA of America in 2009. Ted's prowess as an instructor comes from years of experience learning from some of the brightest minds in instruction, and his reputation within the Metropolitan PGA as a consummate professional, as well as friend and mentor to all, is something he is very proud of.

Assistant Golf Professional


Cody Homer will be back to Fresh Meadow for his 3rd season. Cody is a graduate of Suny Delhi where he graduated in 2016 excelled on the golf team.  Cody started his career in the Met Section at Rockaway Hung Club before he came to Fresh Meadow. 
 
Cody is a great player and up and coming force to be reconned with in the section.  He has been nicknamed “LONG BALL Homer” for how far he hits the golf ball.  Cody has qualified for the New York State Open, the Long Island Open and Met Open in previous years.
 
Cody will be teaching and running the Ladies and Junior Golf Programs at Fresh Meadow this season and can’t wait for better weather to get this season going.

PGA Assistant Professional
Corey Kruger is a Class A PGA Professional from Omaha, Nebraska and recent 2020 graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s PGA Golf Management Program. During his time in the PGM program he served as the Golf Tournament Chairman as well as the PGM Student President. 

 
Corey has a very good understanding of tournament operations as well as lots of experience in teaching junior golfers and running junior development programs.  This past winter Corey spent as an Assistant Golf Professional at The Estancia Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
